Vivace at rehearsal

Local Directory

Vivace Choir and Strings are honored to have been invited by our friends at Tilehouse Street Baptist Church to help celebrate the 350th Anniversary of their church in Hitchin.

The choir will be performing music from the period or settings of John Bunyan’s words.  Including works by Henry Purcell, Gustav Holst, and 3 movements from ‘Divine Emblems’ by local contemporary composer John Chambers.  This is a setting to music of children’s writings by Bunyan.  The Strings will also be playing some Purcell.  The evening will be  interspersed with readings from Pilgrims Progress.
